A global commodities warehousing and logistics business is seeking a Finance Assistant for a 6-month contract in Singapore. The role involves supporting finance and administrative tasks, including Oracle data migration and vendor code management. Ideal candidates should have a diploma or degree in Accountancy, with at least one year of experience in finance or accounting. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Access World is a global commodities warehousing and logistics business. We specialize in handling, storage and processing of commodities including non-ferrous and ferrous metals, ferroalloys, project cargo, oil & gas and other agricultural products. In addition, we are an approved warehouse keeper of the London Metal Exchange, and we provide LME warehousing and associated services to traders, producers, financiers and consumers of base metals. Our global head office is located in Zug, Switzerland, with each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including commercial, finance, HR, legal and operations. The Regional Head Office for the Asia Pacific business is in Singapore and is responsible for China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam etc.
Purposes of the position:
This is a 6 months contract role, and the incumbent will be assisting in finance & administrative matters, as well as involved in system implementation.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Involve in Oracle data migration process, such as support accurate and timely data entry, data verification during system migration etc
Assist in verifying and creating new vendor code and new customer code in the system
Support closing activities for Singapore entities, including intercompany invoice matching
Perform bank reconciliation for Vietnam dormant entity
Expense claims validation and processing
Any duties assigned
Specific requirements for the position:
Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or Bachelor of Accountancy
At least 1 year work experience in a Finance / an Accounting team
Experience with any ERP systems will be good
Familiar with Excel spreadsheet
Responsible, meticulous, analytical and proactive
Able to work independently as well as in a team with minimum supervision
Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
