About the role

As an Accountant – Financial Reporting, you will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all regulatory and statutory financial reporting for our Singapore operations. You will work closely with cross-functional and regional teams to improve processes and drive transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls.
  2. Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory reports, including MAS returns, IRAS GST filings, and annual financial statements, promptly and accurately.
  3. Generate weekly and monthly management reports to support business decisions.
  4. Prepare reinsurance statements and coordinate with the reinsurance accounting team on quarterly statements, costs, premium adjustments, and payments.
  5. Assist with IFRS 17 implementation and other reporting transformations.
  6. Support regional finance projects to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  7. Identify opportunities to automate and enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  8. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Progress towards or completion of CPA, ACCA, or similar qualifications is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
  • 2–3 years of relevant financial reporting experience in insurance or reinsurance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory reporting, and controls.
  • Experience with MAS reporting is highly desirable.
  • Proactive, analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable to high-growth or start-up environments.
