Job description

Regulatory Reporting

Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch Singapore

  1. Timely submission and accuracy of MAS regulatory reports.
  2. Prepare MAS regulatory reports and ensure they are submitted within the required time frame.
  3. Ensure reports comply with MAS requirements.
  4. Monitor the bank’s ratios, including but not limited to LCR, MCB, AMR, DI, etc., and ensure they meet MAS requirements.
  5. Review and understand MAS regulations regarding report definitions and contexts to ensure compliance. Interpret and analyze the impact of new or revised MAS notices or regulations.
  6. Liaise with other departments on reporting and data quality issues, and suggest system or process enhancements and additional internal controls to improve data quality.
  7. Coordinate with other departments to provide regulatory compliance information and guidance.
  8. Assist in liaising with external auditors to meet statutory requirements.
  9. Assist in planning, developing, and implementing accounting processes under International Accounting Standards, Head Office Accounting Guidelines, statutory requirements, internal accounting policies, and work procedures.
  10. Participate in various ad hoc projects and requests from MAS, Head Office, management, and other departments.
Requirements
  • A recognized university degree, preferably in accounting, finance, analytics, statistics, mathematics, IT, or programming-related fields.
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking and financial services, with experience in accounting and regulatory reporting.
  • Self-driven, team player, with good coordination and IT skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage, as understanding Chinese documents from Head Office may be required.
