Working Hours/Days: 0830hrs – 1730hrs (Monday – Saturday)
Annual Leave: 14 days
Overtime Pay: NIL
Insurance: As per MOM’s requirements
Medical Leave: 14 days ordinary sick leave; 60 days hospital leave (inclusive of the 14 days sick leave)
Medical Claims: $300 per year
CPF: In accordance with government guidelines

About the Role
Design International Architects LLP is seeking a skilled Resident Technical Officer to join our team in the North-East Region. This full-time position involves overseeing technical aspects of construction projects and ensuring successful delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from relevant local Polytechnics, or equivalent, acceptable by S.O. and Consultants.
- Registered as Resident Technical Officer with BCA/ IES/ ACES with no active supervision duties on other construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural site supervision, especially for A&A and repair work projects, including testing, commissioning, and defect rectification.
- Strong understanding of C&S, M&E, and Architectural relevant by-laws, codes, and statutory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, inspect materials, and monitor site activities and progress.
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Roles and Responsibilities
Site Supervision
- Monitor, supervise, and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to schedule, drawings, specifications, and instructions from S.O. or Project Consultants.
- Provide standing supervision as directed.
- Check builder’s setting out and service routes for compliance with approved plans and report deviations.
- Prepare defect lists, monitor rectifications, and ensure quality before project handover.
- Ensure temporary works are safe and erected per approved drawings.
- Supervise structural works for safety and compliance, and report unsafe practices.
- Supervise Mechanical & Electrical works, maintain quality, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Report progress and contractor performance regularly.
- Inspect mock-ups and coordinate services with contractors.
- Coordinate with all project stakeholders.
Quality Control
- Reference latest drawings and specifications, check for discrepancies and report issues.
- Inspect materials and workmanship to maintain quality standards.
Documentation
- Ensure proper approval for all installations and maintain records.
- Keep accurate records of site activities, progress, issues, and variations.
- Verify contractor claims.
- Attend meetings and document minutes.
- Return all project documents to the client upon completion.
Compliance
- Ensure construction complies with Building Control Act, codes, regulations, and standards.
- Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning for compliance and handover.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Follow security and confidentiality measures.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- Undertake additional duties as instructed.
