Job description

What the role is:

Great ideas do not discriminate, and anyone can have them. Given the right protection and support, a great idea can become a transformative technology, a powerful brand, an innovative process or design, or even a song or story that moves someone’s soul. At IPOS, we drive Singapore’s future growth with our IP expertise and networks. We are an innovation agency that helps enterprises use their intangible assets (IA) and IP for growth, from Singapore and through Singapore. Working together with other economic agencies, we help transform the ideas of today into the assets of tomorrow. Join a dynamic team of officers that helps the IPOS family understand and engage its stakeholders and customers in a timely and pro-active manner. The Partnership and Programme Department (PPD) does this through various platforms, programmes, and activities for the innovation community.

What you will be working on:

Reporting to the Deputy Director of PPD, your responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the Policy and Engagement Cluster’s Programme Unit. The unit provides administrative and logistical support for the entire cluster’s activities, such as assisting with key internal meetings and IPOS flagship events, e.g., IP Week @ SG.
  2. Maintaining existing and identifying new strategic partnerships to build a vibrant innovation community. This may include planning and executing engagement activities, either directly or via partner associations and organizations.
  3. Developing programmes for IPOS to create networks and drive the innovation community. This typically involves working with other departments and external parties to deliver the programmes.
  4. Contributing to other stakeholder engagement activities, such as taking on ad hoc initiatives and other duties related to the department and/or IPOS.
What we are looking for:
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Enjoy collaborating internally across the IPOS family.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience organizing and running internal and public-facing events.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with government procurement policies and processes.
  • Understanding of government policy-making and engagement work.
  • Relevant experience in formulating and implementing policies and programmes.
