Job Description
The HR Advisor is responsible for managing employment relationships and ensuring effective communication and resolution of workplace issues. This role involves providing expert guidance on employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring fair and consistent handling of employee matters. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical thinking, operational acumen, problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills to navigate diverse challenges effectively.
Employee Relations Management
- Investigate complex employee relations issues (grievances, ethics violations, policy breaches) and assist in the timely and effective resolution of industrial relations matters.
- Ensure investigations are thorough, objective, timely, well-documented, and include appropriate recommendations for resolution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to relevant stakeholders on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Communicate effectively on employee relations issues, providing clear and concise information to relevant stakeholders.
Service Delivery & Efficiency
- Uphold high standards for efficient and effective HR advisory service delivery, tracking progress and outcomes.
- Develop reports for HR leadership on key employee relations metrics and insights.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Communicate effectively on employee relations matters, providing clear and concise information to relevant stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Business, HR, or relevant qualifications with at least 4 years of HR experience.
- Good knowledge of local employment legislation (Singapore employment laws).
- Detail-oriented and organized, with experience managing complex issues.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Meticulous with good organizational and execution skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and remain resilient in fast-paced environments, working effectively within a team.
