Job description

The Manager, OpTech will oversee the successful procurement, evaluation, deployment, maintenance, and operation of MDOTS and EMS projects in SingHealth. He will oversee operations to ensure they are compliant with HIM and SingHealth policies and processes.

Responsibilities include:

1. Delivering on the MDOTS and EMS workplan and ensuring successful deployment and operationalisation of new projects within schedule and budget.
2. Implementing a systemic process to evaluate MDOTS’s vulnerability on an ongoing basis and executing risk mitigation activities. Providing essential information to facilitate leadership decisions regarding risks to organisational operations and medical devices across SingHealth.
3. Establishing intra-team activities within and across teams to ensure service delivery and successful achievement of business objectives and security/IT obligations.
4. Providing consultation and advice to Institutions regarding IT matters for MDOTS, enabling informed decisions and ensuring alignment with HIM Security policies and standards.
5. Establishing processes and frameworks to monitor and track compliance and deviations.
6. Planning and managing budgets and work plans for OpsTech-managed projects within respective Institutions.
7. Participating in strategic initiatives or adhoc projects as directed by the Director of IT and GCIO.

Job Requirements:

1. A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent is preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT and 2 years in an operational IT security or risk management role.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience in Project Management, IT Infrastructure, and Systems service delivery.
4. Knowledge of cybersecurity and IoT/IoMT is an advantage.
5. Experience with Healthcare/Gov IT, Security, and Procurement policies is an advantage.
6. Strong problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and conceptual thinking skills.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to manage controls and processes with strong attention to detail.
