Job Summary:
A People Services Specialist will be expected to perform the full range of duties described below.
The People Service Center is one of the key “faces” of People Organization to Micron team members, offering a centralized online portal and service center for reporting People Organization related issues, answering People Organization related questions, performing People Organization transactions and delivering related programs and services.
As a People Services Specialist you will respond to and track customer requests and inquiries, support People Organization programs, contribute to the People Services Center Knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures to improve processes and achieve high standards for response resolution and best in class team member experience. You will support and/or lead People Organization and People Services projects to drive continuous improvement of People Services delivered in the service center environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver a range of People Services and Program from various People Organization function such as (but not limited to), interview co-ordination, onboarding of new hires, contract administration related activities, manage, track and generate reporting on government claims, etc
Respond to Customer Requests and Inquiries:
Receive request from customer through inquiry tool or other communication method (such as, telephone, email, or walk-in)
Enter request into tracking program, as appropriate:
Utilize the knowledge base or research or troubleshoot request as needed to provide answers and clarifications to improve first call resolution
Provide requestor with information, or refer or escalate to the appropriate resource:
Manage and Maintain Personnel and Organizational Records:
Refer to the Standard Operating Procedure and policy for the applicable process
Manage HR records & filing:
Escalate issues to service managers or other appropriate party, as needed
Notify applicable parties of required forms, timelines, questions, etc.
Collect and ensure required personnel and organizational records are in order
Update the relevant People Organization system of record with applicable information
Validate data changes in the People Organization system of record
Notify applicable parties of data changes, as needed
Perform, Review, and Monitor Services and Programs Across the Employee Life-cycle
Receive training from service manager or appropriate party for new or changed services/ programs
Receive certification on team readiness
Monitor and review process effectiveness in the Service Center environment
Provide input to service manager regarding changes, gaps, or improvements, as needed
Maintain standard operating procedures and knowledge base which includes Identifying repetitive questions or requests that can be addressed through the self service model
Manage and perform the user acceptance testing of People Organization systems, applications and macros
Lead and/or support People Organization projects, as assigned, which includes driving improvement projects to enhance People Organization team’s accuracy, quality and efficiency in delivering People services and programs
Qualifications:
Obtained at least a diploma. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to read and speak mandarin as contractor may be expected to communicate to mandarin speaking employees,
At least one year of relevant working experience in HR Services, Employee Relations or HRBP preferred
Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to communicate with team members and management at all levels in the company.
Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize a high-volume workload and the ability to multitask to meet deadlines in a fast-changing environment
Demonstrated customer service orientation and skills, with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to deal and work with worker- and company-related confidential information.
Demonstrated ability participating in projects, including events, and delivering effective presentations to leadership on project initiatives and updates (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Problem-solving skills, analytical ability, creativity, and assertiveness (preferred).
- Proficiency in Mandarin is required for briefings and communication to Chinese nationality Team members.
Working Hours
-Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.30 pm
Location
Willing to travel to different sites (North Coast Drive, Bendemeer, and Woodlands as required)
- Mainly reports to Woodlands. North coast & Bendemeer is not frequent and reports once a week or less.
