The Fire Safety Specialist will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day fire safety tasks, including coordination with security and facility teams, execution of fire safety inspections and drills, and supporting broader fire safety compliance initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring the organisation meets all fire safety regulatory requirements and maintains a safe workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams
Liaise with Security and Facility Management teams to schedule and conduct regular fire safety
inspections.
Follow up on corrective actions identified during inspections to ensure timely closure.
Serve as the primary point of contact for fire safety-related coordination with internal teams and vendors.
Fire Drill Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute fire drills in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Document outcomes of each drill and provide recommendations for improvement based on observations and stakeholder feedback.
Fire Safety Initiatives
Assist in implementing fire safety programs and awareness campaigns in coordination with internal
and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate fire safety standards.
Maintain accurate and current records of fire safety initiatives and training sessions.
Reporting and Documentation
Prepare and submit periodic reports summarizing fire safety inspections, rectifications, and drill outcomes.
Maintain fire safety documentation, including inspection checklists, compliance records, and audit support files.
Deliverables
Monthly fire safety inspection reports, including corrective action tracking.
Quarterly fire drill reports and post-drill assessments.
Fire safety campaign execution reports.
Updated fire safety compliance documentation repository.
Ad-hoc reports as required by the security or facility team.
Location
The Fire Safety Specialist will be based on-site in Singapore.
Requirements:
Proven experience in coordination roles, preferably related to fire safety, EHS, security, or facility
management.
Strong understanding of Singapore fire safety regulations and international standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with efficiency and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Certifications in fire safety (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, NEBOSH, IOSH).
Experience in a BPO, corporate security, or facilities environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant reporting tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Fire hazards reported vs. rectification success rate.
Number and quality of fire drills conducted per quarter
Participation rate in fire safety drills and campaigns.
Compliance rate in internal/external fire safety audits.
