Job description

Overall Job Scope:

You will manage a set of key accounts on a day-to-day basis, work closely with the Wine Manager and the sales team to execute sales strategies that increase sales in these accounts and acquire new accounts and listings across a broad customer base.

Responsibilities:
  • Acquiring new customers through actively chasing leads, meeting the decision-makers and closing deals for listings that generate long-term sales

  • Work closely with the team to develop growth strategies focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction, execute sales strategies and achieve the company’s goals

  • Provide strong after-sales support and maintain excellent business relationships with the customers to retain their accounts, grow their listings and create new business opportunities

  • Prepare sales quotations and invoices, when necessary, in line with agreed company margins and cost budgets to ensure business profitability

  • Manage your accounts aging AR to ensure customer payments are received in a timely manner and communicate regularly with the finance team regarding customers who are outside of their trade terms

  • Keep informed of industry trends, participate in the trade portfolio selection and range reviews, continue to develop your own wine knowledge and be an expert in the trade portfolio we offer

  • Develop and execute a training programme for our clients to train and develop their teams to be knowledgeable on our portfolio listing at their venues and to increase the sales of TWDC’s wines

  • Create a schedule for consumer and trade events, masterclasses, educational workshops and activities to promote the wines in our portfolio with our Retail and F&B clients to generate more sales

  • Provide support for marketing activities that increase the awareness of TWDC or the brands in our portfolio

  • Operate within the Company’s guidelines, follow the procedures set up relating to the day-to-day operations of the business and support the whole team to achieve the overall Company sales targets and revenue goals

  • The relentless pursuit of keeping TWDC ahead of our competitors and making it the number one wine distribution company in Singapore

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and extensive knowledge of wine is required

  • Training will be provided

  • Target driven and proactively identify pursuing new business opportunities

  • Strong track record of customer base being built up will be advantageous

  • Great communication skills with positive, interpersonal skills

  • A team player with a good sense of job responsibility and a keen eye for details
