Heavy Vehicle Driver - Construction Materials

Are you an experienced and safety-conscious heavy vehicle driver looking for a rewarding opportunity in the construction industry? Do you take pride in your clean driving record and possess the flexibility to work when needed? If so, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy vehicles (e.g., trucks, lorries) to transport a variety of construction materials, including but not limited to aggregates, cement, timber, and steel, to and from construction sites and other designated locations across Singapore.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are in safe operating condition and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.
• Navigate routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and vehicle records as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and clients in a professional manner.
• Be available to work on Sundays and Public Holidays if required to meet project demands.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a heavy vehicle driver in Singapore.
• Possession of a valid Singapore Class [4] driving license.
• Clean driving record with no recent traffic violations or accidents.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain heavy vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations in Singapore.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and maps.
• Good physical condition and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including some lifting and loading/unloading.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work on Sundays and Public Holidays when required.
