The Institutional Oversight (IO) team is responsible for account onboarding, portfolio accounting, and serves as the primary contact for operational queries related to institutional clients. The team manages a wide range of client segments and complex products, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments. The group supports Portfolio Managers, Sales, and Client Relationship teams by providing accurate client account information and overseeing operational risks, ensuring effective oversight and client satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Own and understand client accounts from a GSAM Operations perspective, coordinating client events and issues across teams and acting as a single point of contact for Asset and Wealth Management Operations.
  2. Collaborate closely with Sales and Client Relationship teams to deliver high-quality service and support business initiatives.
  3. Coordinate with client-appointed counterparties (custodian, prime broker, etc.) to facilitate connectivity, establish operational flows, and respond to service requests and inquiries.
  4. Support Portfolio Managers and Sales in onboarding new clients, resolving escalations, and managing portfolio lifecycle events.
  5. Review account metrics such as reconciliations, corporate actions, NAV reconciliations, failing trades, and reporting deliverables, escalating and remediating exceptions as needed.
  6. Implement process reengineering methodologies to optimize strategies and solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1-6 years of relevant experience in financial markets, client service, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Operations or Financial Services, especially Client Services, Middle Office, or Asset Management.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to partner across regions and product groups.
  • Strategic thinking, facilitation, and data gathering skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Focus on risk management.
