Purpose
The Body Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Body Shop, ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery of repair jobs. This role also contributes to achieving department profit targets while maintaining customer satisfaction and managing costs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise Body Shop staff, ensuring adherence to deadlines, productivity targets, and quality standards.
Conduct daily briefings to monitor staff attendance, productivity, safety protocols, and overall Body Shop operations.
Ensure timely completion of repair jobs, conducting regular follow-ups to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
Enforce consistent quality control by ensuring correct use of tools and adherence to proper repair methods, achieving zero return jobs.
Implement protection measures for customer vehicles, ensuring their belongings are handled with care and respect.
Resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor supplies and consumables to control usage, reduce wastage, and ensure cost efficiency.
Develop and implement systems to track repair progress, with processes in place to manage delays and overdue cases effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and streamline operations to enhance efficiency within the Body Shop.
Generate and distribute regular reports on repair status, Body Shop performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management
Requirements
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
• A background in automotive engineering or related technical fields is a plus.
