We are seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide executive leadership and direction in information technology (IT) at the assigned SingHealth institution. You will play a pivotal role in achieving the institution’s strategic priorities and initiatives, in alignment with SingHealth’s Digitalisation Strategy, Ministry of Health, and Synapxe Health IT master plan. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership capabilities, proven expertise in building strong relationships, and the ability to think strategically while bringing creative solutions to complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead system implementations and IT operational improvements at institution and SingHealth level.
Ensure seamless delivery of IT solutions that support the institution’s operations.
Translate business objectives into actionable IT plans and strategies.
Ensure system integrity and timely service delivery.
Oversee IT budget expenditure, transfer pricing and procurement of systems and applications.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure maximal utility in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Collaborate closely with Synapxe, the national IT shared service provider, to provide oversight and governance for agreed scope of work and support services.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent.
At least 15 years of IT management experience in the healthcare sector, with minimum 10 years’ experience in a leadership position.
Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills; capable of leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation, demonstrating effective teamwork.
