We are hiring a BDM on behalf of an esteemed client in the solar industry to lead business development and sales activities for the company's solar-as-a-service offering in Singapore, including lead generation, offer generation, negotiation, and contract closing across multiple industrial and large commercial target segments.
Responsibilities:
Identify, target, and contact potential customers that fit the company's criteria
Engage, promote, and convince customers of the benefits of the solution
Support company-organized events and seminars with audiences of potential target customers
Participate in trade events to network and generate leads
Generate offers for long-term rooftop solar PV solutions for industrial and large commercial customers
Play an active role in long-term agreement negotiations
Support engineering and project teams where required to ensure project success
Assist with liaising with competent authorities regarding project licensing and permits
Contribute to the regional BD team by sharing feedback, intelligence, and ideas for continuous improvements
Actively use and keep updated the company's CRM tool (SalesForce.com)
Support existing customer management to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
5 years of experience in Business to Business sales or business development
Outstanding interpersonal skills in a sales context
Good analytical and project management skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines
No specific industry experience is required, but a strong interest in renewable energy is necessary
Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, high-growth environment
Energy, drive, and resilience associated with long sales cycles
Communicative enthusiasm for a service that will make a difference to the world and its environment
Ability to relate to multiple functions, roles, and seniority levels in customer organizations
Demonstrated track record and networks in relevant industries
Solid ability to understand, convey, discuss, and argue key contractual aspects of commercial agreements
