Initially focusing on maintenance term contracts, additional/alterations, and upgrading works for both public and private sectors, we have grown to attain Grade A2 certification, enabling it to tender public sector projects worth up to SGD 85 million .
The Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of QS in the administration and review of procurement and contract management
Responsible and lead the team on evaluation and preparation of sub-contractors' claims and issuance of payment response within stipulated timeframe (SOP Act)
Allocate tasks to QS and provide effective supervision
Review contract documents and provide cost estimates on tenders
Oversee and manage main contract progress claim and subcontract payment including variation claim
Resolving contract disputes and contract claims, assessing entitlement for extension of time and loss/expense claim
Oversee the management of document control and distribution of drawings, specifications, and all other relevant documents.
Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders
Ensure proper documentation of additional works, alterations or design changes, and lead the team in preparing variation orders
Advise and administer Extension of Time claim
Ensure timely finalisation of main contract and subcontract
Prepare and monitor project cost budget, cash-flow for project, track changes in design/construction work, variations and adjust budget projections accordingly
Able to independently lead and manage project
The Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Civil Engineering or equivalent
8 years experience in project tendering, contract negotiation, administration and/or management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical mindset, problem solving abilities
