Job summary

Job Description

You will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the Gardens' Calendar of Events. The festivals and events will serve to attract new / repeat visitors through a year-round calendar of wide-ranging programmes, in an iconic outdoor garden setting. You will work with industry / community partners to grow existing festivals and events, generate new programmes and work on any ad hoc events. You must have the drive and tenacity to curate and see through major projects that will require strong collaboration with external stakeholders (including the local and international community), and must also work closely with internal stakeholders for the implementation and marketing of the programmes and operations. Your key responsibilities include conceptualisation, planning, administration, procurement, budget control and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field is an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience with track record in leading / curation of large-scale festivals and events
  • Good knowledge of project management, including planning, execution and problem-solving skills
  • Good network with the festivals / arts / events industry
  • Experience with organising community/outreach events and programmes
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
