Manager, Finance and Controlling

Job Description:

• The candidate should handle all finance-related tasks independently, managing the entire process from start to finish.
• Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other accounting tasks.
• Regularly manage working capital, including vendor payments and customer collections.
• Perform monthly dunning processes and follow-up with sales and customer service for collections.
• Reconcile balance sheet schedules monthly, including intercompany reconciliation.
• Conduct monthly closing processes in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS group reporting standards.
• Maintain proper filing of all accounting records.
• Prepare tax and audit schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls as per company guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

• Technical Skills: Strong experience with SAP and familiarity with IRAS reporting.
• Independence: Ability to work autonomously, as the functional manager is based in Singapore.
• Maturity: Good judgment, problem-solving skills, and reliability in a remote supervision setting.
• Possess at least a Professional Certificate, NITEC, Diploma, or higher in accounting and finance.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial accounting, management accounting, and taxation.
• Experience with Big 4 audit firms is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a regional or remote management setup.
• Experience in multinational companies with tight deadlines.
• Highly skilled in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with management at all levels, including those outside Singapore.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective task prioritization and time management skills.
