Job description

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Green Canvas is a nature-inspired MICE venue nestled within the eastern cluster of Mandai Wildlife Reserve. As the Event Operations Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational planning and on-ground execution of a wide variety of events, including exhibitions, meetings, conferences, product launches, and VIP functions.

Job Responsibilities

Pre-Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Assist in event logistics planning, including venue setup, furniture layout, and AV requirements.
  • Liaise with the Sales & Experience Team to understand client requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Facilities, Technical Services, IT, F&B, Security) for event readiness.
  • Prepare documentation such as event checklists, operations briefs, and resource requests.

Event Execution (Onsite):

  • Oversee event setup and teardown processes to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Serve as the main point of contact on the ground for client and vendor coordination.
  • Operate and basic AV equipment (projectors, microphones, video feeds).
  • Monitor event flow and work with the operations team to resolve any on-site issues promptly.

Post-Event Duties:

  • Coordinate post-event venue inspection and reinstatement.
  • Assist in compiling reports on event performance, resource use, and feedback.
  • Work with Sales to calculate additional charges (e.g. utilities, overtime, cleaning) if applicable.

Technical & Vendor Liaison:

  • Liaise with Technical Services for advanced AV requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for logistics, equipment, or staffing support.
  • Support IT team in ensuring client network (LAN/Wi-Fi) requirements are fulfilled.

F&B & Facilities Coordination:

  • Work closely with the F&B team to align catering logistics with event timing and layout.
  • Liaise with Facilities Management for air-conditioning, lighting, lifts, and escalator readiness.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 1 yearof experience in event or venue operations (MICE, exhibitions, or hospitality preferred).

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good understanding of basic AV equipment setup and operations.
  • Comfortable with hands-on, on-ground event coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Comfortable working long hours, weekends, and public holidays (event-dependent).

Work Environment
