Job description

General roles and responsibilities required of this role:

1. Physical escort for visitors
2. Ensuring the Data Center (DC) is in standard operation (e.g., report if air conditioning breaks down, DC needs cooling)
3. Perform monitoring, coordinating, and reporting of the environmental conditions of the Server/Equipment Room
4. Ensuring no unauthorized visitors
5. Ensure DC is secured at all times
6. Routine checks within DC

Essential skills and experience required:

1. Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, NiTec, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
2. 2-3 years of experience in Data Center Operations
3. Pleasant personality
4. Willingness to support and mentor junior staff
5. Excellent customer-facing and customer service skills
6. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, including willingness to work out of hours
7. Ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
