- Provide client portfolio advisory to private wealth clients on multi-asset classes including equities, fixed incomes, funds, and structured products based on house view.
- Formulate investment strategies that align with clients’ target strategic asset allocations to meet investment objectives and risk profiles.
- Partner with sales teams on client meetings or social engagements to articulate investment ideas, create proposals, and conduct portfolio reviews.
- Act as a secondary contact by offering market views, planning, and executing investment strategies for private wealth clients.
- Monitor client portfolios for performance, appropriateness, and investment opportunities.
- Stay informed about new product developments, propose new ideas, and evaluate and promote approved products.
- Follow up on proposed strategies with market monitoring and provide timely advice based on market changes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations at all times.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, focusing on revenue growth and client base expansion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or professional qualifications like FRM / CPA preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in investment advisory within the financial industry, preferably in Private Banking / Wealth Management, with sales and marketing of investment products; dealing experience is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of investment products including equities, fixed incomes, funds, structured products, FX, options, and futures.
- Client-focused with strong business acumen, presentation skills (both written and oral), and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with an innovative and adaptable mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and understand team inter-dependencies.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment, remaining empathetic, passionate, and resilient amidst client demands and market volatility.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in spoken Mandarin, especially in product concepts and explanations for Greater China clients.
- Ability to communicate in written Mandarin if required.
- Possess CACS 1 & 2 certifications and relevant CMFAS licenses.
