Comprising three waterfront gardens Bay South, Bay East and Bay Central, Gardens by the Bay will be a showcase of horticulture and garden artistry that will bring the world of plants to Singapore and present Singapore to the World. Job Description
Strategic Planning
- Provide leadership in shaping the strategic direction of community outreach and volunteer programmes.
- Drive initiatives that foster inclusivity, accessibility, and well-being through nature-based experiences.
- Identify and develop new outreach opportunities for diverse groups, including seniors, persons with special needs, low-income families, and other underserved communities.
Community Outreach
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of impactful programmes that serve community beneficiaries.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with social service agencies, schools, and community organisations to extend programme reach.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to secure funding and co-develop meaningful CSR initiatives.
- Oversee the execution of key events and collaborative efforts that connect beneficiaries with community stakeholders.
Volunteer Management
- Oversee the strategic development and daily operations of the volunteer programme.
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Volunteer Management System to streamline recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and engagement.
- Ensure volunteers receive structured training, are meaningfully engaged, and feel valued through regular recognition and appreciation efforts.
- Curate and manage key volunteer engagement initiatives, such as learning journeys and appreciation events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to effectively deploy volunteers across various functions within Gardens by the Bay.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of managers.
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team culture that values innovation, accountability, and growth.
- Manage team capacity, work planning, and staff development.
Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the organisation in external networks and forums to build visibility and partnerships.
- Engage government agencies, corporations, and community leaders to strengthen support for programmes.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs and lead programme impact evaluations to guide improvements.
- Leverage data and feedback to enhance programme effectiveness and volunteer satisfaction.
- Support reporting, grant applications, budgeting, and operational enhancements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Social Science, or relevant fields
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills
- Willing to work on some weekends
