Job description

You will be a member of the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division (“BID”) of the Enforcement Department. BID is responsible for investigating and enforcing breaches of the laws administered by MAS. Given the MAS-CAD joint investigation arrangement for the Financial Advisers Act and Securities and Futures Act, you will also be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative powers.

You can expect to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with other investigators, legal officers, and internal stakeholders to carry out investigations. You will provide litigation support in regulatory appeals and prosecutions. This role offers insight into how the financial services sector in Singapore operates, and the rules and regulations at work, as you play an important role in MAS's enhanced enforcement regime.

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Interest in investigation work.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to be innovative and creative in solving problems.
  • Prior relevant experience (financial crime/financial forensics investigation) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholder needs, with agility to respond to changes and developments.
