Job description

Their duties include performing administrative tasks, documenting procedures, and hiring and training staff. They are also required to monitor staff productivity and develop initiatives toward enhanced job performance.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Assist Supervisor in planning, monitoring, and controlling various operations
  2. Anticipate customer needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all customers, and resolve complaints to ensure complete satisfaction
  3. Maintain effective communication with the Supervisor and Director regarding any customer or staff issues
  4. Encourage and motivate staff with a positive attitude
  5. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems and maintain system security
  6. Follow correct cash-up procedures and manage bills and house accounts, including cash and credit card transactions
  7. Prepare daily reports for the Director and Management
  8. Manage suppliers, deliveries, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth floor operations and professional, timely duties
  9. Maintain excellent product knowledge
  10. Prepare weekly staff rosters as needed
  11. Conduct service briefings
  12. Ensure all front-of-house staff adhere to the company code of conduct and standard operating procedures
  13. Monitor staff during service to address transgressions immediately
  14. Assess staff service levels, identify areas for improvement, and provide training as required
  15. Ensure proper setup for functions and bookings
  16. Provide ongoing menu and beverage training, including regular testing
  17. Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with HR-related matters
  18. Monitor staff breaks and overall punctuality
  19. Oversee and authorize staff clock-in and clock-out procedures
  20. Ensure discipline is fair and appropriate steps are taken when necessary
