Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee our general ledger reporting, manage the preparation of financial statements, and lead the group consolidation process.

This will be a 6-months contract onsite at the office.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general ledger (GL), ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions
  • Review and analyze financial data in the GL, identifying discrepancies and ensuring adjustments are properly made
  • Ensure accurate recording of journal entries and proper account reconciliation
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that financial transactions are properly captured in the GL
  • Handle group monthly consolidation preparation and reporting
  • Perform account reconciliation, ensure proper intercompany transactions and eliminations
  • Review inter-company activity and balances and prepare group audit schedule and other group reports.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting, annual audit and ensure timely filling of statutory financial statements and reporting to the Group
  • Assist in preparation and analysis of financial data to support reporting to the Group
  • Ensure accounting reports are in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Highlights exceptions and provides feedback to management on key findings
  • Assist in process improvement, procedure and policy review and system implementation
  • Support Tax on providing financial related information and schedules.
  • Any other ad hoc assignments as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting & Finance or ACCA relevant
  • 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a strong background in GL reporting and group consolidation
  • Strong stakeholder management, experience in partnering with the business and liaising with various stakeholders
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
