Job description:

The Clinical Immunology Laboratory (CIL) of Tan Tock Seng Hospital provides diagnostic tests vital for managing patients with rheumatologic, allergic, or immunologic diseases. We aim to be a team of professionals delivering excellent patient care through education and research, supported by a caring work environment. We are seeking a suitable Medical Technologist candidate as we expand to better serve our clinicians' needs.

The candidate should be responsible for, but not limited to:

  1. Perform testing of patient samples using ELISA, indirect-IFT, molecular, particle agglutination, immunoblot, turbidimetry methods, either manually or with complex instruments.
  2. Calibrate and maintain instruments, perform quality control, and troubleshoot issues.
  3. Work independently and as part of a team to perform duties from specimen processing to data analysis and reporting, ensuring medically meaningful and accurate data for diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Provide customer service to clients and healthcare providers.

The candidate should possess:

  • A Diploma in Biotechnology or Medical Laboratory Sciences emphasis OR
  • A Bachelor of Science in Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Clinical Laboratory Science
  • Experience in diagnostic laboratories is preferred but not required. For candidates with a Diploma in the above disciplines, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required to qualify for the Medical Laboratory Technician role.
