Job Description

The Regional IT Infrastructure & Security Senior Engineer / Section Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and security operations within an ASEAN, China, and India Region.

This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.

This role will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect the organization's data and IT assets from cyber threats.

Responsibilities

Network and Security Responsibilities

  1. Lead Cyber Security efforts to defend against incidents of compromise and coordinate incident response if required.
  2. Perform technical requirements analysis and data gathering for technology requests, including networking platforms and services.
  3. Conduct capacity planning and sizing for network platforms.
  4. Design and understand network architecture and solutions for both operations and projects.
  5. Establish and maintain SLAs for network services.
  6. Support the company’s WAN, LAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
  7. Build relationships with key business stakeholders to understand strategic direction and support operational needs.
  8. Develop and implement regional IT strategies for equipment, systems, applications, and security in cooperation with global IT.
  9. Propose system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
  10. Ensure network monitoring, management, troubleshooting, and SLA reporting tools are in place.
  11. Establish and supervise network partner procedures to align SLAs.
  12. Collaborate with network service partners on SOWs for service requests and projects.
  13. Manage problem resolution, root cause analysis, and security incident response.
  14. Maintain inventories of IT assets within scope.
  15. Support the Network Operations Center with ongoing management of network appliances.
  16. Assist with technology audits and related service requests.
  17. Develop new network policies and controls as technologies evolve.
  18. Implement network policies related to ongoing operations.

IT Governance Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to reduce expenses related to networking technology and services.
  2. Manage project expenses within approved budgets when acting as a technical lead.
  3. Assist in establishing service and support contracts for systems and services.
  4. Maintain meticulous documentation.

Supervisory and Management Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage annual budgets for the IT Infrastructure department.
  2. Supervise staff, vendors, and partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
  2. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP preferred.
  3. Experience in a multinational organization preferred.
  4. Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks preferred.

Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  2. Knowledge of IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
  3. Experience with IT solutions for manufacturing, sales, and distribution operations.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Experience in standardizing processes, applications, and infrastructure, and managing change.
  6. Experience in enterprise network design, deployment, and management, including Cisco and HP equipment.
  7. Basic knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, and experience managing ESXi servers, VNX storage, and Windows servers.
  8. Knowledge of infrastructure services, including servers, storage, network, backups, and applications like Exchange and SharePoint.
  9. Experience with O365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, and Intune.
  10. Experience in SASE implementation and operations.
  11. Willingness to travel within the region occasionally.
  12. Ability to work flexible hours for global operations.
