Job description

We are seeking an Associate to be part of the independent product control function that partners with Financial Control, Valuation Control Group, and Legal Entity Controllers in the month-end close process.

As an Associate within the Currencies and Emerging Markets - Product Controller team, you will be responsible for ensuring the business complies with rules, regulations, and standards related to profit & loss recognition, risk reporting, balance sheet, capital management, and external reporting.

Job responsibilities:

  1. Prepare daily T+1 trader profit & loss and risk reporting at a trader/desk level.
  2. Ensure US GAAP general ledger accuracy and represent for external regulatory filings, risk-weighted asset (RWA) policy application, and calculation.
  3. Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the financials to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management.
  4. Partner with the business to initiate and implement robust controls and new business initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders such as Financial Control, Valuation Control Group, Market Risk Coverage, and Legal Entity Controllers for various processes.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in profit & loss and/or month-end close process within Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or Audit functions.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a control mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Understanding of financial products such as FX, bonds, and derivatives.
