Job Description

As a Project & Design Manager in the real estate development company (with a background in architecture, engineering or project management), your primary responsibility is to lead and manage development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed successfully within budget, on time, and in accordance with quality standards and regulations. You will work with a cross-functional team, including architects, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure that projects are executed successfully while adhering to design, engineering, and construction standards.

Project Management

  • Manage the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within the designated scope, timeline, and budget.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as needed to stay on track with goals and deliverables.

  • Identify project risks and devise mitigation strategies to prevent delays or disruptions.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, senior mgt, and team members, providing regular updates on project status.

  • Regular inspection of construction sites to ensure compliance to quality and site safety

  • Post completion projects - managing the coordination with main contractor, quality checks, defects management, and communication needed to ensure efficient handover of units to internal departments

Design Management

  • Collaborate with architects, designers and engineers to integrate design specifications into project plans

  • Oversee the designimplementation during construction and ensures it aligns with the project’s vision

  • Review and approve design documents and drawings, and address design and quality issues and implement design solutions as needed

  • Evaluate impact of changes on the project and adjust plans accordingly, seeking necessary approvals

  • Any other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or project management field

  • Min. 7 years’ experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably with a background in architecture or engineering

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, design and engineering principles

  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
