What you will be working on

  • Possess technical expertise in Manufacturing Technologies and Engineering best practices; collaborate with key technology suppliers to drive product quality.
  • Work with manufacturing sites and field teams to understand Non-Conformance details, communicate effectively, and follow up to closure with suppliers.
  • Develop manufacturing capabilities, drive FMEA, and implement Process Control Systems (PCS) at supplier sites, including defining measurement and metrology methods.
  • Support review of SPC data for critical parts and manage suppliers’ OCAP execution and recovery.
  • Track supplier performance indicators against metrics and KPIs; facilitate and drive suppliers to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Conduct routine surveillance and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Lead investigations of excursions, working with suppliers to provide comprehensive reports to fulfill ASM SCAR/8D requirements.
  • Support failure analysis to determine root causes of product failures and share findings with internal teams.
  • Develop positive supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement activities based on lessons learned and best practices.
  • Up to 20% business travel may be required.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience managing suppliers in machining or sheet metal, with knowledge of welding as an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively across different geographies, cultures, and disciplines.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and capable of working independently.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor equipment industry.

What sets you apart

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), metrology, inspection methods, and equipment.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • FMEA expertise, including Design FMEA (DFMEA) and Process FMEA (PFMEA).
  • Structured problem-solving skills, including 8D methodology.
  • Leadership in supplier management, escalation procedures, and effective communication across various escalation types.
