A Steward works hands-on and performs specified cleaning duties in designated areas of the kitchen and outlet to maintain their cleanliness and hygiene, achieving efficient service delivery.

What will I be doing?

As the Steward, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Maintain proper personal hygiene habits.
• Check & ensure that dishwashing machines are operating properly.
• Able to do de-liming of dishwashing machines to ensure that the machines are able to produce clean equipment.
• Changing of water in the dishwashing machine.
• Ensure dishes are cleaned and placed back properly on shelves.
• Bleaching/removing stains from chinaware & glassware.
• Chemical knowledge/cleaning supplies.
• Maintain area cleanliness & floor mopping.
• Setting of hot box & dishing out plates.
• Setting up a decoy area.
• Washing of pots & pans and sanitizing process.
• Burnishing of silverware using a ball-bearing machine.
• Manual silverware polishing.
• Handling of emergencies.
• Perform any other work as requested by Management.
