Job description

Position Overview

To manage and provide effective guidance to Front Office in their work processes and submissions, specifically regarding new client account opening and KYC reviews. The role involves advising the Front Office on all KYC/AML and legal document matters, supporting the Client Advisor from prospecting to account funding, including the KYC Review Process. The candidate liaises with local AML officers on AML/KYC topics.

As a KYC Specialist, the candidate handles daily BAU responsibilities, monitors and reports on MI team performance, and collaborates with AML, Compliance, ORM, Front Office, and Legal teams.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Perform as first-level control and ensure quality assurance in the KYC process
  • Provide expertise on complex account structures
  • Advise front office on legal documents for legal entities during NCA and KYC reviews
  • Support ACOs in completing accurate KYC information
  • Oversee the entire KYC process, including reviews
  • Coordinate between front office and cross-functional teams (AFC, Middle Office, Legal, etc.)
  • Advise RMs on documents and scope of work
  • Check the quality and completeness of client files/KYC forms
  • Manage case setup based on case complexity
  • Collect documents from clients as needed
  • Update KYC questionnaires based on client information
  • Perform name pre-screenings as applicable
  • Monitor, escalate, and report on cases and metrics weekly
  • Streamline account opening and KYC review processes
  • Advise on legal documents during reviews
  • Participate in client meetings if required
  • Implement global KYC/AML standards and local regulations
  • Escalate operational and regulatory risks and contribute to mitigation strategies

Your skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in client KYC profiling
  • Strong online research skills related to client wealth journey
  • Degree in Banking, Accountancy, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in operations, account documentation, risk management, AML/KYC in banking/financial industry (min 3 years in Private Banking/Wealth Management)
  • At least 2 years in a Maker role within Private Banking/Wealth Management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
  • Ability to understand customer needs and adapt accordingly
  • Team player with multi-tasking abilities in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Process and project management experience
  • AML/CAMS certification is a plus

Role is on-site at One Raffles Quay, with vaccination requirements.
