Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage change order/variation claims from subcontractors and prepare claims for clients, maintaining all change order records.
  2. Collaborate with project teams across disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontractors) to support timely contract price adjustments and claims.
  3. Prepare documentation and substantiation for variation orders/claims according to contract requirements, submit to clients, and follow up until approval.
  4. Oversee the full spectrum of subcontracting works, including claims, measurements, and bills of quantities. Prepare tender/subcontract documents, bid checklists, and evaluate bids/subcontracts.
  5. Ensure main contract terms, project specifications, and requirements are incorporated into bid and subcontract documents.
  6. Review and monitor subcontractors’ milestone/progress claims and invoices, coordinating with the finance department for payments.
  7. Administer subcontracts, issue work orders, and organize kick-off and ad-hoc meetings with subcontractors.
  8. Manage performance securities and contractual correspondence with subcontractors, including letters and tracking.
  9. Procure subcontracting work within budget, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
  10. Monitor subcontracting costs, ensure they stay within the allocated budget, and handle subcontract close-outs and disputes.
  11. Participate in monthly cost reviews and manage warranty and defect claims.
  12. Attend project meetings and interface with cost control, procurement, and other departments.

Requirements:

  1. Degree/Diploma in Engineering disciplines or Quantity Surveying.
  2. 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  3. Familiarity with offshore platforms, modules, FPSOs, jackets, onshore petrochemical plants, and renewable energy projects is advantageous.
  4. Good team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  5. Willing to work overtime as required.
