The Senior/Fundraising Executive is responsible for developing and executing fundraising initiatives to support the organisation’s mission. This role involves cultivating donor relationships, managing fundraising campaigns, and sourcing new funding opportunities. The ideal candidate is organised, resourceful, and passionate about working with different stakeholders to make a positive impact.
Job Scope
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Manage donor engagement initiatives, including donor stewardship and recognition programmes.
- Assess and refine fundraising strategies based on data-driven insights and industry trends.
- Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events.
Donor Engagement & Relationship Management
- Manage donors’ database and fundraising reports
- Maintain accurate fundraising records and prepare regular reports for meeting and management.
- Build and develop relationships with new or existing donors, sponsors, volunteers, foundations, and grant-makers.
- Prepare compelling fundraising proposals, grant applications, and donor reports.
Events & Campaigns Management
- Organise and coordinate fundraising events and initiatives.
- Engage in community building efforts to enhance public awareness of Epworth Community Services and foster interaction with the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and utilise different platforms (e.g. technology, social media, outreach events) to optimise fundraising outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and suggest improvements.
Research & Development
- Identify new funding opportunities and revenue streams.
- Monitor fundraising trends and best practices to enhance fundraising efforts.
- Be involved in projects as directed by Manager (Community Relations) and/or the Executive Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter, highly organised and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to be adaptable and meet deadlines.
- Able to build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding/ experience of the social service and/or non-profit sector is advantageous.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work on weekends or outside office hours occasionally (Time-off will be given).
