Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for balancing financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues. Position is accountable for pricing, positioning, and inventory of all hotels within the market. Oversees processes related to demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting, and opportunity analysis. Contributes to and recommends sales strategies for pricing of transient customers. Acts as the primary contact, maintaining productive relationships with hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees, owners, and regional teams.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in revenue management, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • OR
  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in the same fields; no work experience required.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
  • Identify principles and facts by analyzing data into parts.
  • Generate accurate reports and presentations timely.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Analyze information to identify problems and propose solutions.
  • Gather information from relevant sources.
  • Submit reports by deadlines.
  • Maintain reservation system data accuracy.
  • Support cluster selling initiatives across reservation centers.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, obstacles, and future needs.
  • Update transient segment data and booking patterns regularly.
  • Collaborate with Market VP, GM, and sales teams on pricing analyses.
  • Assist with account diagnostics and validate conclusions.
Managing Revenue Management Projects and Strategy
  • Contribute to executing predetermined strategies.
  • Gather information to manage projects and resolve issues.
  • Provide revenue management expertise to hotel and market leadership.
  • Advise on property and market sales strategies.
  • Ensure strategies align with brand philosophies and market conditions.
  • Prepare agendas and lead property/cluster meetings.
  • Refine sales strategies to increase market share.
  • Develop strategic action plans for revenue management.
  • Manage inventory to maximize revenue.
  • Assist with pricing and business evaluation.
  • Coordinate strategies between sales offices.
  • Monitor distribution channels for positioning and accuracy.
  • Use diagnostic processes to maximize revenue and profits.
  • Implement and evaluate revenue tests.
  • Recommend improvements for revenue management processes.
  • Communicate market insights and brand initiatives to stakeholders.
Building Successful Relationships
  • Develop and maintain constructive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Communicate results, achievements, and challenges effectively.
