The Regional Sales Director will drive growth in the optometry and ophthalmology eyecare market across Asia. This dynamic, fully remote role involves developing and executing strategic plans, fostering partnerships, and leveraging industry expertise to expand the company's footprint and drive revenue growth. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, the Regional Sales Director will collaborate with senior sales leadership and business leadership to create and execute strategies, develop growth plans and budgets, and provide forecasts for operational and financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and strengthen the company’s position in the eyecare market.
- Work with both channel partners to develop and execute localized tactical plans to deliver growth.
- Identify opportunities for expansion and innovation within existing accounts
- Manage pricing and discounting to balance growth and achieve profitable growth.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams to align strategies and enhance value propositions.
- Build and maintain a robust professional network within the eyecare industry to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales initiatives.
- Monitor account key performance indicator metrics, sales forecasts, and market share growth.
Requirements for Considderation
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field, MBA preferred
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the optometry, eyecare, or medical device industries.
- Strong knowledge of the optometry/ ophthalmology market, including key players and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience implementing best sales practices and tools
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated success in managing national accounts and achieving revenue growth.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to travel nationally as required.
