SVP / VP, Relationship Manager, Industrials (Large Corporates), Institutional Banking Group

Business Function
Corporate and Investment Banking provides a full range of commercial banking products and services, including working capital finance, term loans, cash management, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, and foreign exchange. DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its regional customers based on account management, service differentiation, product development, industry knowledge, and rigorous credit standards.

The Industrials team focuses on corporates in the chemical sector, including capital goods and materials industries.

Responsibilities

As part of the IBG Large Corporates Industrials team, the candidate will serve as both a Direct Coverage RM and an Industry RM.

As a Direct Coverage RM, responsible for:

• Developing relationships with new and existing clients;
• Account servicing, credit, and compliance reviews;
• Contributing to deal origination and increasing product penetration across all product groups for mid and large corporate clients;
• Preparing credit applications, building financial models, reviewing cash flow, and structuring financing terms to meet client needs; overseeing loan and security documentation and negotiations for non-complex credits;
• Formulating and executing account plans to increase wallet share; and
• Achieving revenue targets for the portfolio.

As an Industry RM, responsible for:

• Researching and analyzing Industrials sub-segments to identify common themes across industries and geographies;
• Collaborating with product partners on industry-led product initiatives;
• Developing relationships with key clients alongside Global RMs to deepen regional/global connectivity; and supporting adhoc projects like portfolio reviews and stress tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience in corporate & investment banking, preferably with experience in the chemical sector;
• Strong credit and financial analysis skills, industry research experience;
• Knowledge of treasury, capital markets, and transaction banking products, including cash management and trade finance;
• Experience managing cross-functional teams in origination and execution;
• Results-driven with strong business connections to develop opportunities;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a drive to meet targets.
