Job description

Report to: Group Finance Manager

Overview:
Manages accounting functions with a meticulous and keen eye for detail, the Senior Accounts Executive is responsible for the preparation of financial statements, handles audit, and tax filings. Assists with treasury management, budgeting, and data analysis. Ensures compliance with finance policies, liaises with auditors and financial institutions, and guides junior staff. Supports management with ad-hoc tasks and reports to the Group Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

- In charge of preparation of full set of accounts and accounting schedules;

- Handle audits and tax (including GST) filings and ensure deadlines are met;

- Assist in treasury management (credit, treasury, foreign currency, interest rate);

- Credit control and monitoring, improve debtor turnover days, minimize delinquent receivables and expected credit losses;

- Budgeting, business partnering by supporting internal customers & superiors with robust data analysis to aid decision making;

- Enforce the Group’s Finance Policy & Procedures (“FP&P”) within the Company;

- Implement internal control;

- Assist in review of compliance by subsidiaries to Group’s FP&P;

- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agent, bankers and other professionals;

- Coach and provide guidance to juniors;

- Support management in ad-hoc tasks.

Requirements:

- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA;

- Minimum 2 years of experience handling full set of accounts;

- Experience in FP&A work;

- Proficiency in SAP is advantageous;

- Experience working in listed entity is preferred;

- Work experience in audit and assurance firm is an advantage;

- Demonstrate initiatives, active leadership and reliability;

- A team player, customer-oriented and analytical-minded;

- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
