About the role

We are seeking motivated and hands-on Commissioning Engineers to join our team for projects in Industrial and Municipal Water & Wastewater Treatment, including Ultrapure Water (UPW) and Desalination Plants. The role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, take ownership of commissioning scopes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Whether you're early in your commissioning career or bring several years of experience, this role provides a platform to grow technically and professionally in a dynamic field environment. This role will start with 1-year contract role with strong potential for renewal and conversion to a permanent position

Responsibilities
  • Carry out pre-commissioning, wet commissioning, and performance testing activities for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.

  • Assist or lead in plant start-up, troubleshooting, and optimization depending on experience level.

  • Support documentation, testing, and handover processes.

  • Participate in the review of P&IDs, PFDs, design documents, and control logic (e.g., Cause & Effect Matrix).

  • Support or lead the development of commissioning plans, checklists, procedures, and O&M manuals.

  • Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Control teams to ensure installation aligns with design intent.

  • Prepare or contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Assist in preparing commissioning logs and punch lists and track their closure.

  • Support or lead data collection, performance analysis, and issue resolution.

  • Provide feedback to design and construction teams to close out any functional or design issues.

  • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests and Performance Testing.

  • Support project documentation and liaise with clients to achieve commissioning signoffs.

Requirement

Water/Wastewater Process Knowledge

  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with:

    • Reverse Osmosis (RO), UF, MBR, MBBR, DAF, Clarifiers, Ammonia

    • Sludge handling systems: Filter Press, Centrifuge, Crystallizers, Evaporators

Mechanical Systems Commissioning
  • Familiarity with commissioning and operation of:

    • Pumps (Process & Chemical Dosing), Blowers, Mixers, Compressors

    • Heat exchangers, chemical dosing systems, and polymer prep units

Process & Chemical Handling
  • Understanding of coagulation and flocculation principles

  • Knowledge of chemical handling and dosing systems

Software & Communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

  • Clear, professional communication in English (written and spoken)
