About the Role
- Leading the HR Planning team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the HR policy development & review, workforce planning and budgeting, compensation & benefits, Industrial Relations, including negotiations with the union, manpower analytics and statutory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of responsibilities includes the following
- Drive the formulation and development of HR strategies, policies and governance frameworks to meet organisational needs and keep pace with the market
- Oversee the implementation of policies and frameworks and ensure effective communication of changes to policies.
- Manage the total rewards scheme - drive and implement the compensation policies for the organisation, working closely with the remuneration committee
- Responsible for the organisation’s benefits policy. Regularly review and update benefits and service providers in order to keep abreast with best practices
- Lead and manage union negotiations including collective agreements and yearly annual salary exercise and any other developments in the organisation
- Develop people analytics to guide decisions in the various HR functions
- Guide the team in co-creating solutions with stakeholders to resolve issues and challenges in manpower planning.
- Partner with business units and HRBPs to resolve issues and challenges in manpower planning.
- Champion the employee mental wellness programme
Job Requirements
- A recognised degree
- At least 12 years in HR related work and minimum 5 years in HR Planning work, preferable with strategic workforce planning and policy experience.
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, good quantitative skills with fundamental understanding of analytics
- Worked in a large organisation. Some experience in government / government related agencies would be a plus
- Strong stakeholder management and good interpersonal skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
