Job description

Job Purpose:

• Business Development and Execution in Electrification and energy storage projects.
Start up Investment for Decarbonization Projects

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development – Decarbonization (80%) – Electrification & Energy Transition Projects

• Business Development – Electrification & Energy Transition Projects*
• Support the development of electrification projects, including energy storage solutions, onshore power supply (OPS), and port decarbonization initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market analysis for energy transition opportunities in MOL’s assets and operations.
• Engage with stakeholders, including regulators, energy companies, and technology providers, to structure partnerships.
• Assist in investment assessments for energy storage solutions such as vanadium flow batteries and microgrid applications.
• Develop business proposals and coordinate pilot projects for electrification and low-carbon energy solutions

Venture Investment & Startup Collaboration (20%)

• Support startup scouting, evaluation, and due diligence for investments aligned with MOL PLUS’s sustainability and innovation strategies.
• Assist in financial modeling, market research, and investment structuring for potential deals.
• Engage with startup founders, industry partners, and venture capital networks to explore strategic partnerships.
Track and support portfolio companies, facilitating collaboration opportunities within MOL Group

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in energy markets, electrification projects or power infrastructure in South East Asia
• Strong knowledge of electricity tariff regimes, regulatory frameworks and cost recovery models.
• Experience in structuring and deploying energy storage or electrification projects (B.E.S.S, Microgrid, etc)
• Knowledge of decarbonization technologies, energy storage solutions, and maritime electrification trends.
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, including startups, regulators, and infrastructure partners.
• Strong communication, project management, and strategic thinking skills.
