Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and meticulous Senior Accountant with strong expertise in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and local tax compliance, along with hands-on experience in managing a full set of accounts. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in supporting the expansion of the Singapore team and assist in the setup of financial and operational processes.

Operations Setup, Support & Team Development

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the Singapore office, ensuring smooth financial and operational processes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the setup and integration of financial systems and workflows

  • Support initial team expansion efforts, including recruitment and team development

  • Foster a collaborative, efficient, and growth-oriented team culture as the Singapore office scales

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with SFRS and IFRS

  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, statutory requirements, and regulatory reporting obligations

Tax & Compliance

  • Oversee GST submissions, corporate income tax calculations, and liaise with external tax advisors

  • Ensure timely and accurate filings with authorities including IRAS and ACRA

  • Stay informed of updates to local tax, SFRS, and IFRS developments

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Support the coordination of annual statutory audits and assist with external auditor requests

  • Assist in maintaining internal controls, process documentation, and compliance procedures

  • Help ensure audit readiness and proper filing of supporting financial documents

Business Support

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for management reporting

  • Collaborate with internal departments and regional teams on intercompany transactions and group reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent in a relevant field

  • Previous work experience in Big 4 is highly preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience handling full set accounts and financial reporting

  • Solid knowledge of Singapore tax system, SFRS, and IFRS

  • Proficient in common accounting software and Microsoft office/Google

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Able to work independently with a high level of responsibility and attention to detail

  • Fluent in English and Chinese to liaise with regional stakeholders
