Job Summary (General Nature / Objectives of the Job):
The E&M Design Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the design and implementation of electrical and mechanical (E&M) systems for infrastructure projects, particularly within the transportation sector (LTA projects). They ensure that all E&M designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and local regulations while ensuring integration with other project disciplines. This role involves close collaboration with design teams, contractors, and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to manage E&M designs from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Coordinate and oversee the design of electrical and mechanical systems for LTA infrastructure projects.
- Ensure that E&M designs comply with local regulations, LTA standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of E&M systems with other project elements (civil, structural, and architectural).
- Conduct design reviews, ensuring alignment with project requirements and resolving any discrepancies or technical challenges.
- Liaise with LTA representatives and ensure design submissions are timely and meet LTA’s approval process.
- Manage and track the progress of E&M design deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Assist in resolving on-site technical issues related to E&M systems and provide design clarification to construction teams.
- Ensure that safety and quality standards are upheld in all E&M design implementations.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of E&M designs and updates for the project management team.

Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Major Study/Specialist (Education):
- Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience Required:
- 5–8 years of experience in E&M design coordination, particularly in infrastructure or transport-related projects.
- Experience working on LTA projects or other government-regulated transport infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in managing the design and installation of electrical and mechanical systems.
