Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) Engineer
- Prepare and review ICA works specifications.
- Assist the ICA Lead and manage engineering design works for Control System Architecture, Data Communication Networks, and P&ID drawings, PLC/DCS, DDC, SCADA, and other ICA works as required.
- Experience in programming PLCs such as Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley, ABB, etc., will be an advantage.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm, ELV, ACMV systems is preferred.
- Handle equipment procurement, including technical specifications, clarifications, and bid analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on design submissions, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
- Support project activities including scheduling, progress tracking, and documentation.
- Supervise project execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and interface works.
- Address client comments and obtain approval for ICA design, installation, and testing works.
- Resolve technical issues on-site.
Design, Engineering, FAT, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of:
- Control systems (PLC/DCS, DDC, SCADA)
- Input/Output lists
- Data communication networks for ICA, BMS, ACMV, Fire Alarm Panels
- Instrumentation
- FAT and SAT of interfacing panels, instruments, pumps, etc.
- Cable support systems and cabling/termination works
Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Experience in instrumentation selection, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience in ICA engineering, preferably in water/wastewater projects, is an advantage.
- Experience in programming PLC/DCS, DDC, and SCADA is an advantage.
- Experience with BMS, Fire Alarm, ELV, ACMV systems is preferred.
- Experience in panel design for ICA, BMS, Fire Alarm, ELV, ACMV systems is an advantage.
- Experience in project execution, supervision, and coordination with subcontractors and clients.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, MicroStation, and 3D software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of water, wastewater, and environmental engineering works.
- Meticulous, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; candidates with over 5 years may be considered senior level.
