Job summary

UNIMATEC SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. interns will support the Engineering team in daily activities, equipment maintenance, new equipment installation, process improvement and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to understand equipment operation, safety requirements, engineering practices and workplace procedures. This full-time internship on Jurong Island offers company transport and a structured, hands-on learning

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in new equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Support equipment preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist with basic equipment inspection and data collection.
• Support engineers in identifying equipment issues and potential improvements.
• Assist with process and equipment modification activities.
• Support PLC-related activities and learn basic PLC troubleshooting under supervision.
• Assist in preparing and updating equipment documentation, drawings and records.
• Assist with reading and understanding P&ID and electrical drawings.
• Assist engineers with engineering projects and process improvement activities.
• Support data collection, analysis and preparation of reports.
• Assist with equipment and process improvement projects.
• Liaise with engineers, technicians and relevant departments to support project activities.

Introduction

The E & I Intern will support the Engineering team in daily engineering activities, equipment maintenance, new equipment installation, process improvement and troubleshooting. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience in electrical and instrumentation systems within a manufacturing environment.

The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and technicians to understand equipment operation, safety requirements, engineering practices and workplace procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Equipment Support

• Assist engineers in new equipment installation and commissioning activities.
• Support equipment preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with basic equipment inspection and data collection.
• Support engineers in identifying equipment issues and potential improvements.
• Assist with process and equipment modification activities.
• Support PLC-related activities and learn basic PLC troubleshooting under supervision.
• Assist in preparing and updating equipment documentation, drawings and records.
• Assist with reading and understanding P&ID and electrical drawings.

Project & Process Improvement Support

• Assist engineers with engineering projects and process improvement activities.
• Support data collection, analysis and preparation of reports.
• Assist with equipment and process improvement projects.
• Liaise with engineers, technicians and relevant departments to support project activities.

Safety & Workplace Support

• Follow all company workplace safety and health requirements.
• Assist engineers in safety inspections and equipment checks.
• Participate in safety activities and training.
• Support the team in maintaining good housekeeping and 5S standards.

Administrative & Other Support

• Assist in preparing engineering reports, presentations and documentation.
• Support engineers in coordinating with contractors and vendors when required.
• Perform other engineering-related duties and projects assigned by the supervisor.

• Location: Jurong Island (Company Transport Provided)
• Commencement: ASAP
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:45 pm
