Overview

The E-commerce Platform Specialist will be responsible for owning and optimizing specific product categories or sections of Ask & Embla's e-commerce platform. This role focuses on implementing tactical initiatives to enhance KPIs such as conversion rates, traffic, and user engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a keen eye for user experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development and merchandising teams to drive continuous site improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce KPIs, including conversion rates, traffic sources, bounce rates, and user behavior, to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the website's user experience (UX), including navigation, product discovery, checkout flow, and content presentation.
  • Develop clear and concise briefs for site optimizations, A/B tests, and new feature implementations, outlining objectives, hypotheses, and desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with web development and other relevant teams to implement site changes, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Monitor and optimize site search performance, product filters, and website navigation to improve product discoverability and user satisfaction.
  • Generate regular reports on platform performance, provide actionable insights, and recommend strategies for ongoing optimization.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging e-commerce trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or a similar role
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies and tools, as well as UX/UI principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong attention to detail
  • Preferred: Experience with SEO principles
  • Preferred: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
