Job summary

TikTok is seeking a data engineer/scientist to develop data-driven capabilities for our e-commerce platform. You will mine data, build tagging systems, and extract actionable insights to improve GMV and user experiences.

You will collaborate with product managers to refine data products, design ML solutions, and implement pipelines across Hadoop/Spark ecosystem. Strong programming and data mining skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B. Sc or higher degree in Computer Science or related field from accredited institutions.
• 5 years experience in data structures and algorithms; familiar with ML, NLP, and data mining.
• Proficient in Python/Java/Go/C++ and data processing tech (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Storm, Flink).
• Familiar with ML frameworks TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-empowered capabilities for e-commerce platform; enable verticals to extract insights from large data.
• Perform data mining, tagging, and analysis of user, traffic, and e-commerce data to improve GMV.
• Collaborate with PM to optimize data products based on data-driven insights.
• Build data pipelines to extract assets from aggregated data for actionable insights.
• Design ML solutions to improve accuracy and coverage of data assets.
