The National Environment Agency is seeking a qualified engineering professional for the role at Semakau Landfill. Responsibilities include overseeing waste operations, managing contracts, and promoting safety on-site. Ideal candidates will have engineering backgrounds, relevant experience, and strong leadership skills.

What you will be working on:
The job description of a DPE / SE / EE at Semakau Landfill (SL) are as follows:
Take charge of the planning, organizing and implementation of a command centre for the waste receiving operations at SL and Tuas Marine Transfer Station (TMTS), and upcoming projects at SL.
Prepare specifications and call tenders / quotations for the consultancy study and/or construction of new and/or refurbishment work of facility / infrastructure at SL / TMTS and administer the Contract.
Lead Engineering Managers and Senior Engineering Executives to supervise the O&M contractors and manage the Consultant / Contractors and also take charge of the site area being assigned to.
Review and manage safety and security of the infrastructure to mitigate potential hazards and threats within SL and TMTS.
To assist in coordination/ monitoring of NEA or external agencies/parties’ projects or works. Take lead to liaise with relevant parties, authorities and agencies during the course of the work.
Involve in ISO9001/14001, ECO office, energy efficiency, sustainability and other organizational development activities or projects.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Branch Heads.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline recognised by the Professional Engineer Board.
At least 3 years of working experience in consultancy, construction or infrastructure industry.
Candidate with project management, procurement and contract management experience is preferred.
Possess analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills. Leadership skill to lead a team to carry out work on site.
A team player with positive working attitude.
Able to work under pressure and cope with tight deadlines.
Able to work in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Working locations: Semakau Landfill (offshore)
