JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure Hotel guests have a comfortable environment and enjoyable stay, with total guests’ satisfaction, at Aloft Singapore Novena. Responsible for the smooth functioning of guestrooms, F&B outlets, and other hotel facilities of both properties. Instill a culture of preventive maintenance in the team and efficiently manage and maintain the properties’ facilities and equipment such as air-conditioning systems, fire protection systems, hot and cold water distribution, and electrical installations.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building facilities, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) equipment, Audio Visual (AV) equipment, and plant rooms, for both in-house and outsourced work, following Hotel’s P&P.
2. Conduct routine M&E rounds and metering during duty shifts with the shift technician, rectify any defects, carry out assigned engineering projects, and report in the Duty Engineer Shift Report.
3. Ensure smooth operation of facilities and services during duty shifts. Attend to work orders in guestrooms, F&B outlets, and common areas with the shift technician, ensuring all works and requests are completed within the Hotel’s P&P to the satisfaction of operations and guests.
4. Provide technical support and advice to hotel guests and the internal operations team for total satisfaction and operational efficiency.
5. Respond to and manage emergencies and crises during duty shifts according to the Hotel’s P&P.
6. Implement Green initiatives as per Hotel’s P&P, as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
7. Perform supervisory or executive functions, including assisting in work related to the strategies and policies of the department.
