Job summary

ST Engineering seeks a hardware/firmware engineer to design electronic circuit boards for drone systems. You will research architectures, source components, and design schematics, PCBs and firmware to ensure safe, reliable drone platforms for customers in Singapore and the region.

You will test boards, generate Gerber files, and produce design and test documentation. Proficiency in Altium/OrCAD/Eagle and embedded C/C++ is required, with 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industry experience in electronic hardware and firmware design.
• Experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs, etc.
• Knowledge of UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, etc.
• Proficient with schematic/PCB design tools listed (Altium, OrCAD, EAGLE).
• Proficient with test instruments (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyser).
• Proficient in C/C++ programming.

Responsibilities

• Research and define efficient, reliable architecture for drone system circuit boards.
• Source suitable electronic components for design.
• Design schematic for PCB boards meeting requirements.
• Design PCB layout and generate Gerber files.
• Firmware programming in embedded C/C++.
• Test PCB assemblies to ensure proper operation.
• Create design and test documents and drawings.
